The entrance and reception area is beautiful
The rooms are not
4 stars I have no idea how! Bathrooms are dated and very shabby, towels are grey!
Flooring at rooms in area overlooking pool you would cut your feet on, it’s so warped from heat and humidity …don’t smell so great either
The rooms on website must be reserved for ‘favourite’ guests

On the whole an average hotel with broken wooden panels, peeled paints, sagging spring mattresses, room size is very small. Positive review is Good Location and food is delicious. Very old hotel with no proper facility. U need to upgrade and upadte to 2026.

Worst service. Incidentally I had to stay at Ambassador Pallava for a week. Even if we compare with hotels like IBIS the ambassador pallava’s service is very much way behind. In order to make this review useful for others, I am just summarising the points comparing the services obtained/provided by same range hotels at this price.

Messing/ Dining
1. Very Poor food quality
2. thronged dining hall and staffs not able to manage or serve the guests.
3. Improper arrangement of buffet.
4. Arrogant staffs and partiality in serving their favourite customers and others.
5. Huge Delay to get an ordered dish.
6. Almost same menu daily without much change of cuisine.
7. Limited menu with very limited dessert.
8…etc..
House Keeping
1. No replenishment of essentials including tea bags .
2. Huge delay in delivering the demanded goods that too after repeated requests
3. Substandard cleaning of rooms on subsequent days of stay
4. No complimentary laundry services

My recent stay at your hotel was honestly very disappointing. The service was painfully slow and completely unprofessional. The rooms and the whole property looked nothing like the photos on your website — matlab seriously, it felt like I got fooled.

The food quality was strictly average, and for the price you charge, it felt like paisa bilkul waste ho gaya.

But the worst part — the front desk staff. Their behavior was unbelievably rude. When I asked something, they acted like I was disturbing them. One guy even rolled his eyes and said, “Sir, wait kariye na… time lagega,” in such a tone that it felt like I was begging for a favour. Boss, guest ko aise treat karte hain kya? That attitude was so unwelcoming, it really pissed me off.

Overall, the stay was a regret. Dil se bol raha hoon, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone until you seriously improve your service, your staff’s behavior, and the honesty of how you represent your property online.

I wouldn’t call it a great experience for the kind of momey that they Charge honestly but I guess Chennai is way more expensive for hotel stays in general

The overall experience was pleasant, though the room service was quite slow. The only nearby option was a market for shopping, with no other activities available. The staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a charming ambiance with plenty of antique décor—especially the 70–80-year-old piano in the dining area. The lift area was a bit confusing, as the old and new sections of the hotel had separate entrances.

The entrance reception and foyer area is beautiful and luxurious. The rooms though are basic and should be upgraded. Bathrooms are old. Its good but only for a night or two. The location is good and close to shops and transport accessible. Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is good with a wide variety of food. Chai. Pastries. Omelettes. Its a feast

A well known traditional hotel meant for its locality. Close to Museum, Egmore railway station and Express avenue mall and center to many places. Break fast is worth for money. They have big well maintained swimming poolRooms are big and traditional. Old but still well maintained hotel.

Late check out 2000+ gst they don’t give exceptions or freebie. They are very professional. Rooms are good old but renovated with all kinds of artifacts and with all facilities. Staff can be given more training for a customer delight rather than satisfaction

Awesome Hotel, I stay in Heritage room for 3 nights. The rooms are much specious than expected. Clean and properly arranged every thing. Staff are very supportive.
The buffet breakfast and dinner was so good and a good number of items for every one..
Special mention about surprise cake for Christmas kept in room.
